Networking Opportunities

Despite Florida being home to hundreds of thousands of citizens with incarcerated loved ones, families and friends outside the gates still feel alone, despondent, confused and frustrated. Connecting with others online is an excellent way to share information and comfort. Ex-offenders too can express themselves, relate their experiences, and help make life easier for those who come after.

If you are aware of helpful networking sites, listservs, or current blogs that can be added here, please send us an email.

PrisonTalk.com bills itself as "The Global Communications, Support & Information Nexus for Inmates' Families & Friends." Indeed, it's a huge and popular site. T.I.M.E.

Treating Inmates Morally & Ethically©

T.I.M.E. is an advocacy and social website run by a Florida inmate's wife with the vision "to make the public aware of the injustices that take place within the prison system. It is our goal to bring about change in the stereotypical thought pattern of society towards inmates, prisoners and ex-offenders. We are here to educate, inform, support and advocate for a better criminal and justice system within the USA and around the world so that fair justice is intact and is applied equally across the board."

Teen in Jail
"I'm in prison at Brevard C.I. in Cocoa, FL after being in the Pinellas County Jail in Clearwater, FL for over a year. I'm relaying stories to a blogger about my crimes, arrests, court hearings and life in prison, jail, juvenile detention, and drug rehab. I'm sending a message to others not to make the same mistakes I did."
